With the described change, only Office 365 Groups created in Outlook Online will get these features in Outlook Online.
Previously, every Office 365 Group, created either using Outlook Online or Microsoft Teams, got his own conversations, calendar and members view in Outlook Online. I really don't know how they are doing interoperability on the backend, from my perspective, teams stays on teams and skype for business stays on skype. My team has pretty much left skype behind and is using teams exclusively. All I see is the skype button in OWA, nothing for teams.
